Battery Discharge Warning Kia
The warning flashes on the screen every time i sit anywhere for a few minutes with just the radio playing and the car is turned off. While awaiting my wife's shopping, i will sit in my car reading the paper as i listen to the radio. While doing so, i get the following message as well.

I have run my radio for over 90 minutes on. It's something like please start your engine to prevent battery discharge. i've seen it a couple of times, but simply ignore it, since it's obviously not going to deplete that big. 3 posts · joined 2021. #1 · dec 18, 2023. The message on info panel says battery discharging due to external electrical devices. i took it in to the dealer and showed them a photo of the message after i let the car. If yes, get in the habit of shutting off the radio before shutting off the ignition. If not, you have a short someplace.
